The historic retail space in St. Louis, previously damaged by a vehicle collision that compromised a supporting column and caused a partial collapse, has undergone a meticulous restoration by Leonard Masonry. Despite being surrounded by cement barriers meant to control the heavy traffic along the intersecting roads of Arsenal and Compton, this marked the second vehicular incident this year.
Leonard Masonry took on the challenge of re-engineering and reinforcing the damaged masonry columns while carefully restoring the front facade to its original state. Modern stability measures were integrated into the restoration to prevent future incidents and enhance the building’s durability. This effort successfully revived the historic structure, preserving its architectural integrity and renewing its purpose as a safe and resilient space for the community.
